Valiente means “courageous” in Spanish. Valiente is a proposed charter school planning to open in August 2015, serving grades 4-8 in Southeast Los Angeles. We anticipate over 95% of students to hail from low-income households in one of the most densely populated zips in the U.S. Currently, there are no public charter middle schools in the area.
