Running with Purpose and Passion
It is incredible the synergy created as entities connect to create miracles they, by themselves, might never have the ability to bring to fruition. Hope So Bright is an exemplary example of how purposeful humanitarian acts impact society in beautiful ways. I love especially their gifts to children. My own son is my main inspiration and reason to live my purpose as I teach him lessons and virtues of life.
My life as well is filled with deep purpose and passion. One of the ways I strive to give to humanity is through running. Running is a perpetual love of my being. I thrive by sharing infinite joy and philosophy of running, grace and life, with all, who seek to connect to nature, as well as humanity. I love how this outreach reaches beyond a run or a race leading others to find the courage to live their own true potential.
Through the years, gifting hundreds of hours through presence, mentoring and writing, I created inspirational stories and running tips for entities such as Trail Runner Magazine, XTERRA, TransRockies Run. I truly realize many others play a role in my purpose. I recognize this is part of my path to a higher good. I could not do what I do, to the extent I do it without joining with others for a benevolent cause.
I’ve assisted many on an international, individual, and soul basis. My intention is to ease the path to happy healthy running, and all aspects of life, with beautiful form and lessons embraced from the heart. I choose to show the world their gifts ready and waiting to be illuminated. Tragically, our gifts are often hidden within the abyss of our soul. I gently tug and illuminate the gifts we grant this world on our way to becoming who we are meant to be.
During this journey we somehow create the bridge, sewn together with lessons learned, in running, life, and living. I relish witnessing joy exploding from the hearts of others when I assist them to find an entirely new level of their own human potential. While I cherish my running ways, I understand that in life there exists many deeper levels and facets to explore and experience. Many life experiences and circumstances are full of hardship and grief.

I aspire to melt the barriers in my life to providing hope to humanity through my voice, teaching, writing, and humanitarian endeavors. This last year despite a car accident just a few months before my second attempt at TransRockies Run, when a woman, texting, turned into my new husband and I with an 85 mph impact. We all survived, but I tore all of my hamstring muscles and herniated and tore a disk innervating my legs, in addition to breaking multiple teeth. While still working to overcome these injuries, miracles happened. I ran with my husband to a 3rd place overall coed finish in the 2013 TransRockies run.
The new year brings many new goals and aspirations, always with the intention of reaching my own human potential while inspiring each person to find the courage to live their dreams.
I know as an athlete I will create a wonderful image for Hope So Bright’s endeavors. Some of my favorite results in addition to TransRockies Run are:
I hold gratitude in my heart for the humanitarian acts of many. Thank you to Hope So Bright for reminding us all that there is still so much good, love, and grace in this world!
