The sole aim of Monday Night Mission is to feed the less fortunate of Skid Row who are unable to find housing or are turned away from shelters.
We meet every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night to feed our homeless brothers and sisters on Skid Row.
I was introduced to this amazing group of volunteers, to feed and provide basic hygiene kits to the homeless on skid row in Los Angeles. Earlier that day I had my sons and their friend help me create hundreds of hygiene kits that included, toothpaste, tooth brushes, soap, baby wipes, deodorant and more.
Our group met at the Burger King and proceeded to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. We then left for skid row as a group, setup our tables, and I couldn’t believe the hundreds of individuals that were already waiting in line for this late night meal. Speaking to a few of the homeless, they were so thankful that we come every night, because it’s typically their only meal of the day as well as the bottled water we handed out.
